Have you ever tried a pair of MPOW headphones? Lew from unbox therapy made a video on them and described their sound as close to beats. Whether you think beats can sound good.

Yeah, mpow are amazing bang for there buck. I am rocking the mpow flame 2's and there the best bluetooth headphones I have ever used.

Let me give some thoughts real quick. That white one looks like a fairly decent quality player for the time I guess, but I wonder if there’s a slot for some kind of mass storage device itself to go in (not saying Micro SD because it looks too old for that to be a standard thing then) but was empty. Purple one didn’t have a good battery, but I noticed you didn’t try wall power, which may or may not have worked depending if it works on Apple logic. Black one probably was a carbon copy of the purple one, other than that it doesn’t seem like the worst MP3 player, because the LegoPod still takes the crown for that one.

I fully expect you to accidentally uncover some hidden gem among all the trashpods one day. You'll be responsible for the next cult classic. Not sure if you're into cameras at all, but basically, what happened was a few years ago, compact film cameras SHOT up in price, from like five bucks, to a good condition one going for thousands. All due to hype. [Also, Beyerdynamic are my favourite headphones. They were about €120, so way above the bracket discussed today, but I love them. Although, Basic Apple earbuds are still the daily driver for my 11-year old 5th gen.

In the non-patreon video you said the apple earpods are $40. You can get real ones on amazon for way cheaper. Like $10 to $15

So, in reference to today's main video, I wanted to mention the Sennheiser HD 400 S headphones. https://en-us.sennheiser.com/headphones-mic-stereo-over-ear-hd-400s $70. Wired over-ear closed back cans, detachable cable with line-in controls, great build quality with nicer pleather earcups, the earcups swivel and fit nicely, only issue is the top band for me, I feel like it needed some kinda padding on top. But for the price, these are sleek lookin' and sound really good. Well balanced sound that's clear and gets decently loud, does bass really well without sounding muddy or distorted, highs are crisp. They aren't super narrow in terms of staging either. Seriously recommend these for listening to flacs on your phone or playing Doom Eternal with these on.

I have had the Samson's for 5-6 years and they're finally starting to go (I've been very very mean, especially to the cable). Honestly probably just going to get another pair due to the unique financial situation of the times, but I don't feel like I'm settling at all

Kinda surprising that no one removes their stuff from their old tech before they get rid of it. When I buy stuff from yard sales, thrift stores and whatnot I've found photos, tax documents, music, school papers and everything else left behind.

Did you ever have a pair of RP-HTX7s? They were a phenomenon here in the states for a while because of the way they looked. Didn’t sound too bad either but because of their shape you would get a headache from wearing them too much. Stop me if you’ve heard this already...but now I love my ath M50x. I drum as well and they let the perfect amount of sound in.

Samson makes some really great budget microphones so I'm not surprised they turned out at the top of the list. They're great for building a home studio type thing on a budget.

I would love it if you reviewed some earphones as well, I have been using the Panasonic RP-HJE125E's for months since my headphones broke, and think they sound incredible, especially for the price. However I'm by no means an audiophile so I'm not sure how good they actually are.

Yeah, grabbed the Samsons as my first even remote audiophile headphone, first over-ear headphone, and with a clean judgement slate they are really impressive. Listening to most content through a decent pc speaker or my galaxy buds there is a lot of detail and space I've been missing, even in things like youtube vids. Thanks for the recommendation.

That black mp3 player is exactly what I bought on black Friday at a Shopko under the brand name Coby over ten years ago. I had stayed up to go there at 3, dragged my friend along and we waited until it opened first in line. Waited til 6am to get a 30$ (Us) mp3 player. When I got there my friend didn't want anything, but I ran into a girl I knew from high school,and I introduced them while I got in line to buy it. They ended up getting married! I was the best man at their wedding. So while I got some lame mp3 player that lasted a year, my friend got something that will last a lifetime 😁 (you bet I said that at their wedding 🤣)

I think the EeePeeCee didn't show the black nugget's contents because they're tagged as hidden. Try setting Explorer to show hidden files, it might help with future projects

Bit late to the party but Woodi are actually quite known in retro nintendo circles for making (pretty decent and sought after) gameboy clones. specifically the GBA clone. They were backlit before backlit gbas were a thing people wanted. Interesting to see it's an actual COMPANY who MADE things...
