The singer is Aimee Mann, who was a well known singer at the time this episode aired. The Buffyverse often had recognizable singers at The Bronze, but Aimee Mann is the first to have an actual line outside of singing. Her continuing to sing after seeing the vampire turn to dust is hilarious, and her line, "I hate playing vampire towns," is a brilliant way to explain why she did that. She's used to seeing that. Stellar reaction as always, Sofie. Your confusion over what's happening so far is delightful. God, I love this season so much.

Yes, as all Buffy seasons are, S7 is its own unique beast and builds quite a head of steam in these early episodes. A highly rewatchable season, and fun seeing reactors' first impressions (they generally seem to really like it!).

I am one of those rare fans that figured out the big bad after watching the first episode. (Don't worry, i won't spoil) So it is fun watching someone figure it out as it comes and I had already watched previous seasons multiple times before this season aired, so I have that luxury. (And was an avid fan fiction reader) I am really looking forward to your reactions to the remaining episodes. This is going to be quite the adventure! 😁 🧛‍♂️
