"I had my throat cut and all my friends abandoned me" is one of my favorite Wes lines. His arc is fascinating. Also, you saying "I was having so much fun until [Connor] showed up" sums up my feelings about almost every episode.

That thumbnail……lol But yea this episode is great fun. It does have the feel of Tabula Rasa but I kinda like this one more cause if all the memorable lines and callbacks, especially from teenage Cordy. In fact, that line she says when she first sees Liam: “Hello salty goodness” is the exact same line she says when she first sees Angel entering the Bronze back in season 1 of Buffy :-D

Also, you may not have realized this but this episode is written and directed by Joss Whedon. He was quite busy this season with other projects like the final season of Buffy and with his other show Firefly so I believe this episode of Angel was the only one he directly wrote and directed. Though of course he still had MAJOR decision-making when it came to the whole season arc……

Alexis showing his superb physical comedy skills in this one is great. His shock at the gadgets coming out of his sleeves and his movements and expressions. A+
