82 steps, that's a new record! No surprise there, I put just about everything I had into this one. By far my best work if you ask me. I have her face on a couple of accounts, so that should tell you something.

My space girl has come an incredibly long way from her first conception, I brought her to life somewhere in 2015 or 2016, I think. She was the ordinary super cutie from off world, nothing more to her than that at first. But now that I brought her back into the front lines, with me being many years more experienced, her look was streamlined and enhanced. I clearly took inspiration from Gainax/Trigger for this iteration on the gal.

Really great work done on the shading here, I was using more soft and hard brush strokes to captivate the eye and look at the depth of color and contrast in the picture. I really wanted to make this look like a movie poster. I made sure to make the dramatic lighting more apparent in contrast with the brilliant colors reflecting light or a vibrant glow in a dark cold environment.

I was super fucking happy with how the broken slab of stone behind her came out, I had very rarely ever made an attempt at illustrating realistic rock or backgrounds in general. Because it came out so well,it helped to encourage my to try it more often.
