This week, I decided I didn't really like the cramped feeling of day 1-2, so I spent some time  remaking it. Here's a before and after:

The original 1-2 has hardly been changed since the game jam version! I mostly just added new visual stuff, but I feel like it sort of turned into too much of a test palette.

I think the new 1-2 has a more obvious path, plus the platform is more obvious so you know you're supposed to jump up there to get to the second floor. Not to mention a stage as small as that one in the original just looks odd. Carol can dance on the stage in the updated level, too, so that's a nice little hint at a later mechanic!

I think it could still use a few little visual touches here and there, but I'm happy with the way it feels so far.

This week we also started on cheering animations for the patrons. They'll do this when Carol's dancing or sliding on a pole nearby, and on levels where there's a concert.

Monday: Made the "fill 'er up!" popup slide in from the left.

Tuesday: Made the "fill 'er up!" popup not appear when there's no more patrons to serve. Made levels unlock in order and be unplayable if they're not unlocked.

Wednesday: Fixed the special art menu acting weird. Remade day 1 shift 2. (Dakk)Started on patron cheering animations. Made Roxy cheer animation.

Thursday: Finished up day 1-2. (Dakk)Made Hugh cheering animation.
