I don’t know how this isn’t more relatable. Buffy feels alone and isolated and is finding solace in a hunky bad boy that is obsessed with her. Has no one felt shitty about themselves and fallen into a bad crowd. Or am I the only one that had teenage angst? 😜

#SundayRundown To paraphrase the Five by Five Takes (she makes very insightful and fun video essays if you wanna check out her YouTube channel) the Buffy season at this point took a down turn by going from showing Willow’s behavioral addiction to magic, which is very interesting to explore, to making the topic into a preachy type of afterschool PSA wherein magic is all of sudden chemically addictive and inherently bad—which is lazy and cliched. PS: I think it actually would help to turn the light down 2-3 notches, as Rana suggested last Angel video, we already have a horrible light contrast on our screens by watching both y’all and the episode, and we also want you to be able to see through the darkness of the Angel alleys and rooms...I sometimes wonder if you can see what’s happening at all.

Glad you loved this angel episode. If you think how epic those scenes were in the last 5 minutes and the amazing music score, none of Buffy S6 has compared, from the clunky on the nose metaphors and choosing gratuitous and exploitative scenes over good story telling, Angel really began to stand on its own with its mythology. there's some more 10 out of 10 episodes to come.
