Hi there!
Let's start with the last scenes of the prologue:

I really took my time with the conversation between Lisa and Tina to have a little more build up this time. The conversations in DM felt a bit rushed and I definitely wanted to change that here. Maybe I should implement some subs for the future so you know what they're talking about.. I have to do that either way as soon as I'll hire the VAs.
I was thinking about implementing more scenes showing the helicopter taking off but I wanted to create a contrast between Tina's silly smile and what's about to happen after that with a Jumpcut to the action.
Now to act 2!

I wanted to create a foggy area so you're only able to see silhouettes from certain characters. Unfortunately, the fog looks rather artifical. The solution to that is either to increase the volumetric effect of the lights to make the entire environment really foggy or to introduce an element that makes it believable for the artifical fog to be there.
So I decided to let the Walrider rip out a piece of pipe from the wall. The fog not only builds a little tension before the walrider is actually visable in full, but also gives him a little tactical advantage, making him not only a bloodthirsty beast but one that uses his head which underlines the danger a little bit more.
Unfortunately, I couldn't start animating right away because I had to build some random civilists for this act using the program Fuse. The named program was orginally aligned with SFM which means that you could simply export the characters you've build and export it as the supported data file for SFM. Well, guess what? This feature is no longer supported because fuck knows why :)
So I decided to switch the civilists with cops and corrected the script accordingly. Actually It's the better decision, the fog plays well into it because why would the walrider have an tactical advantage when its only "fighting" against civilsts?
It's unfortunate that the SFM library doesn't seem to have some solid random npc models though. It requires me to learn modeling at least to some degree for the future or find someone who can do that for me.
Potential danger for NSFW creators with twitter and patreon, plans moving forward
I had some back and forth conversations with people who fear that their livelihoods will be taken away due to the constant rising pressure on certain and NSFW creators in general. Twitter is getting pressured to ultimately ban NSFW stuff from their side by some religious company who filed a suit against them. The file could totally turn into a warm fart or it could turn for the worse since twitters protection for NSFW stuff doesn't seem to be that great.
Patreon also seems to get pressured and started to close sites from certain NSFW creators who do more gritty stuff more aggressively. The reason they give are "no bestiality" (which is known for years though) and "no glorifiying sexual violence" which is such a vage statement that I don't know if my stuff would play into that.
I am certain, that this market won't fade away in case the named platforms will have no choice and take action. However, It will be definitely harder to generate more buzz for future projects without platforms like twitter and less people being willing to pay on sites like subscribestar. Maybe new platforms will arise from that but until then, I'll set up a subscribestar account and a discord server right after DM is finally released.
I am not aware of any alternatives to twitter (facebook is a no-no). If you happen to know any, I would be happy to know them!
And please, don't let that ruin your day. It might as well turn out fine for us but it's always good to have a plan B :)
I wish you a great week!
