Stuff done this week, Animation, Sculpting, Tension Maps

Animation, a lot more polish has gone into the first part of this camera angle, I've added blinks got much better head movement smoothed out more pose transitions, second part got reworked today have made the yeen much more aggressive, so this is not quite as polished (and might want to go retime this section so there is more ramp up now there is more movement). I'm thinking of maybe having this camera angle be the last one, the fox gets his release then (after a lot more thrusting) the yeen does, with a nice messy pullout. (anyone have any opinions on that?)

Sculpting, This started off on a little project to wind down before bed and continued in the time spent waiting for playblasts (there is a lot of things where the polish pass needed reviewing at full speed) the Raccoon has been restarted from scratch and decided to go with a brown color scheme rather than the strait up back and white I had before.

Tension maps yet another idea that was bouncing around before going to bed one night and (as is normally the case) in my half asleep state I finally got my head around it. This one builds on the work I did before. I've included a little proof of concept animation. The base animation is shown first then again with the tension map being used to drive blending between two alternative meshes. This 'auto wrinkle' effect will get implemented at some point down the line into all characters, I'm going to go with the manual one for the time being on the current animations.

Side activity for this week as chosen by the Executive Producers is going to be the Basted Otter animation, it was almost done before, going to go back in add the manual tension effects to the wolf and fox, clean up and bookend the animation and hopefully have it finished (and ready for rendering) by this time next week.

Oh and something else I noticed the pink texture on the tiger was not really showing off compared to the orange in the animation so I went alter the hue and re-rendered it, I've edited the old post which you can find:

but I thought I'd mention it here as well ^_^
