Staying In Eating Out Part 2 finished!

After weeks of long days and late nights agonizing over small details, blocking, timing and polishing the animation, it feels good to be able to show it off in full :D

Please let me know what you think <3

I've included 4K stills of some of my favorite frames from the finished animation.

This week was mostly spent finishing up the animation, however the side activity was to design an office. To begin with I thought of doing a realistic corner office, but then decided why not have some fun with it! Lets make a location with lots of little areas of interest. Art deco stylings, huge central window with the city in the background, massive desk, wood panels, big plush sofas, fire place, bookshelves, a globe, drinks cabinets, coffee tables, comfy chairs, etc... meaning lots of different height surfaces to allow characters to interact ;)

so I started in on reference hunting and even though I had a really good idea of what I wanted and was sure this sort of thing featured in lots of media I only found a few examples. From movies Batman (1989), The Hudsucker Proxy (1994), Video game concept art for Arkham Knight (the Wayne building) and the recent Blacksad game. If anyone can think of any other movie TV shows or games with a 'big bosses office' set in this sort of style I could mine for ideas let me know. I've included a very crude blockout that is very much still at the design stage of what I have modeled up so far. along with the shelved corner office idea.

The coming week will be spent blocking Staying In Eating Out Part 3 along with the side activity as chosen by the Executive Producers further work on fluid sim and if time allows looking at starting a short animation to show it off featuring the Wolf, Fox and Otter. (going to be around the length/complexity/subject matter as the 'splatter the fox' animation) ^_^
