Part 1 of Saying In, Eating out is here :D (see attachment)
This week I've been working hard on the animation for part 2 along with sculpting up the wolf. I'm happy now he seems to have a lot more character to him, (and as a bit of fun I've even included a quick side by side of all the headshot previews that got us to this point)
Executive Producers were polled, and the side activity for this week is Rigging the Wolf. <^,^>
As an aside (and I apologize my 'insecure artist' is showing here) I do worry sometimes about the perception of how much work I'm posting each week. There is a lot of little things I have going on in the background that are not really 'post worthy' but all feed into a better end product, like going through courses, writing scripts, tweaking shader networks, sculpting up character ideas, running little simulation experiments etc... (would anyone be interested in seeing my 'tech demos' where a concept is being worked out on simplified geometry?)
This is why sometimes Sunday will be a little light on content and other times there is more. Also I try making things I post as visually appealing as possible, and doing so is possibly a detriment. Take for example simulation, it'd be very quick to show on simplified geometry however to show the concept on a character, time is needed to set the shot up, tweak the simulation and the shot, get the fur on and get it rendered and sometimes even after doing that it doesn't look quite right etc...
Making things look good rarely lines up with things being 'fast' :/ and I'm sorry for the inconsistencies with amount posted or perceived work done. I'm thinking of making a one off post to give you a view inside my world that'll detail the basic pipeline for character creation and animation with a brief overview of all the steps so you can see why things can take a long time. (would anyone be interested in that?)
Congratulations on getting through the text wall of insecurities that's swimming around in my head :D
Now let me know what you think of Part 1 of the Animation, and the Wolf ^_^
