All right, so for those of you who like exposition dumps, I have good news. (It's, ya know, that.) Not our sexiest chapter, sadly, but if you want to learn a few things, here's some things to learn. If you don't, well, chapter 9 is only a few days off, most likely!

More to come.

Quite the twist! Spencer being switched off for the entirety of Book 3 definitely sheds new light on several earlier interactions, most notably all of the Brokers on the floor. Very good chapter for connecting some of those dots! Far better chapter for bringing this book's main topic into the light: What does Spencer want from Higgins 3? What does this story look like when Spencer is an active participant, rather than a lucky victim? What happens when Spencer is forced to choose between a floor of complicated women and a devoted harem? The speed at which he goes Of COURSE Not to the main question of this volume is so hilariously Spencer; this dude never met a sexy situation he didn't instinctively want to put the brakes on. He's emotionally unable to say that he'd rather everyone on the floor be one sexy polycule than a couple dozen vaguely-interested women living alongside a dozen furiously offended women. He wants what's best for his floor... but what if that's chemically enslaving them? Is that even viable, as an ethical act? It makes for a chapter that's seemingly devoted to filling in blanks, but absolutely shines in its questioning of Spencer's goals and desires. Couldn't figure out how this book was going to make its turn into a finale, but now I'm thrilled to see what decision Spencer makes. Great work!
