If that is Kang and this story takes place on Earth, then what year does the Last Survivor take place? Also, why did Kang leave Earth?

This series takes place on Earth in the future, years before Last Survivor: Episode I's events (back when Vodka was still a young space pirate) :D There was a big call to bring part of Earth's -willing- youth to Nova (along with free college, residence and other expenses included) in order to increase Nova's future population and workforce. Of course, Kang was one of those who decided to take such a big step.
