[Next Upload]

Chow Administers, everyone. Here's a video update. The next one isn't about video games, but it's in-line with the structure of my usual FUNKe Studies, that being quick-firey breakdowns of interesting examples within a topic. I think despite no apparent connection to games or shows/movies/etc, it's primo funke content people will dig. I'm expecting a release two to three weeks from today, currently there's a lot of information condensed very tightly so i'm trying to unloose a few bolts and let the whole script breathe without dragging out the data transfer from my mouth to your ears. Don't overthink the metaphor.

It's in the blocking stage, which means the rough draft animation, as well as B-Roll collection (non-animation portions are being editing). While a fair chunk of it is manually animated, it's (like usual) mostly for transitions, comedic effect and other visual-cue moments, in laymans terms I don't have to animate the whole thing so once i'm done with that part the rest is knocked out really fast afterwards.

[Future Uploads]

As i've gotten a better idea of what videos I plan to make, there's also been a trade-off of efficiency. Recently, i've hedged the idea of outsourcing my animation to other dependable creators/animators I know to split up the work, where I would basically be manning the scriptwriting and editing while having the 3D scenes made in parallel by other people. This idea is very inviting to me, for one(i): I'm a fanboy for other animators in general and it would be a dream to see some of their firepower displayed on something of mine. (ii) with patreon funds and my channel growing respectfully as it is, commissioning these people at fair rates seems to be feasible, (iii) animation is by far the biggest timesink in my process, so it would be vital to standardizing my workpace/video schedule.

Worth noting is this wouldn't be/will not be for every upload, there's still more often videos I either can reasonably do myself or would explicitly prefer to do myself. However, collaboration is something I haven't done often in the past on videos and I think it would help me grow a lot as a writer, creator and just person to start involving others more in the process.

There's a lot I need to prepare to make these things happen, between confirming animators I trust/enjoy to collaborate with, instructing them how the bombi model/animation style generally works, grounding the numbers for their pay and time, and actually overseeing the process so it's still very first and foremost a FUNKe production. This will likely come into play towards the halfway point of the year, but for this current upload i'll still be working solo and the next ones are where processes may develop.

[Personal Update and Thank You]

I'm just very thankful to be doing this, how many people who found my content when I was a teenager recording myself and my friends gaming either stuck around or eventually crossed my circle again and now enjoy what i'm putting out today.

I've had turbulence finding my identity, my comfort zone and my ambitions but I feel very happy right now to make what I enjoy, to interact with friends and people who share those interests and to still have that same excitement and fear at the upload of every video as I did when I first started really pushing myself on them.

A part of me always wants to hold on to that homestyle, kid with a microphone mindset that makes me feel percieved as 'authentic' rather than motive-driven but another part of me wants to keep changing just a little bit each milestone and not worrying about what I am at the end of it as long as it's positive changes. A ship of theseus content creator, as hamfisted as that phrase might be. Thank you for contributing to that, or even just understanding that. I hope you get a kick out of what i'm making, and I hope you ultimately live long and live well.

P.S the plush should start shipping next month... I don't have much control over when they hit the road. But thank you again if you got one!

Honestly FUNKe it's been a pleasure watching you develop on my laptop screen. You're the first YouTuber I can name who has undergone the most change, in the best possible way. Thank you!

Ship of Theseus is the way to go, amigo. I've felt the same pang to hold onto the Unregistered Hypercam 3-era of professional unprofessional in order to stop myself from being... I suppose "corporatized" isn't the right word, but it's somewhat near it. Anyhow, my point is to never worry about abandoning your "original" identity and intent. Do what feels right; we're all the more glad to hear that you're doing something that DOES feel right, so keep at it! We're all behind you.
