Welcome back to The MinnMax Show! On this week's episode, Ben Hanson is joined by Jacob Geller, Janet Garcia, and Kyle Hilliard to talk about the first five hours of God of War: Ragnarok without spoiling any story details. Then Jacob Geller unloads his thoughts on Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and he and Kyle try to share their odd appreciation of Scorn. Jeff Marchiafava joins the show as we all talk about Gotham Knights from Warner Bros. Montreal and why it misses the mark. Then Kelsey Lewin jumps on to rave even more about Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and the Portland Retro Gaming Expo and talk about the history of Ms. Pac-Man. After that, it's all about taking community questions from Patreon! Also, heads up that this is the first episode of the podcast that's ad-free! Let us know what you think about us skipping over the plugs.

Good "lady who fell while stomping grapes" noise by Hanson at about 39:00

I think Jacob Gellers thoughts on MW2 are not warranted. Sure, the game is more realistic in visuals and in that you aren’t usually mowing down whole armies like previous entries, but we’re still talking about the video game equivalent of a Michael Bay movie. To say it is inherently evil I think is taking the game far too seriously. You are entitled to your opinion, but to take this seriously is to assume that the military actually operates the way this game says they do. I feel like that argument is kind of like arguing that GTA is evil because it teaches you that being a criminal is good.
