Hey all,

I teased this picture on my IG yesterday but I wanted to make an official announcement here and talk a little about it. It's been awhile since I've done a monthly CG set for the Patreon and I got some inspiration the other day so here we go.

I'm doing something a bit different than the Selfies you're used to. I really like the Selfies sets because they feature a very real and candid perspective of the characters that you don't get to see in-game. I've also noticed that I've fallen in love with slice-of-life type stuff. Just average social media type camera angles and capturing these guys really doing nothing in particular. I'm sure that's no surprise given a lot of the banter and dialogue in Straight!? being just off the wall discussions about things that don't matter. I love that shit because that's how I relate with my friends.

That being said, I'm still using that same inspiration in a new type of image set that I'm calling "Shorts." For those that talk to me on the Discord, it's no big secret that I'm a big comic book junkie. While I've always kinda considered trying to make my own comic book, this series is a step in that creative direction and it's a fun way to keep things fresh for me.

Shorts will be a short image series with no words. The series will rely solely on the use of the pictures to tell their own short story. While many of you have fallen in love with the writing in Straight!?, I decided to freshen things up by completely taking that out of the equation. This type of a medium really forces me to pay attention to artistic details rather than trying to bury them in the writing. Facial expressions and scene setup is crucial to making an immersive experience and this is a really good way for me to practice that. This also gives me a chance to work with other picture resolutions rather than just being stuck with a standard widescreen gaming format or the phone-type resolutions  we saw with the Selfies. This month I decided to work with a square format but in the future expect other fun stuff like IMAX or even 72mm.

While these sets will contain NSFW elements, don't expect these to always be super porny. These will NOT be just a series of images where people slowly get undressed or bust a nut. They'll hopefully be more fun and creative than that. This first set is just kinda fun imo and I'm really happy with it.

So this month, I'm launching Shorts  featuring Cody in "Binging," who's finally got some alone time in his own dorm room now that his roommate is away for the weekend and he's just settling in to binge all 11 seasons of his favorite show.

So if you're a fan of Cody and you wanted to see a quick snapshot of his own world outside the game, here's your chance.

This full series will feature a sequence of 13 total images and will span the FREE, $1, $5, and $10 tier. Images will drop periodically throughout the entire month of September.

September is gonna be big so stay tuned for the big announcement!

Brilliant! Really looking forward to these - and getting practice at facial expressions and scene setup is just going to make the game (and future projects!) better and better. <3

That’s really the main focus of all my side stuff. I can’t do more than one project because I don’t have the focus for it. But side things like this can be great practice or an excuse to try out new techniques and stuff. A lot of that then goes back into the game so it all works together for me .

Can't wait, Aaryn. Cody is a favorite character of mine, and I'm glad to see him getting something of a storyline. He's such a cutie, makes me want to stuff him in my pocket and take him home with me... OK, so I have a thing for stray puppies. Don't hate me. XD

haha. it's nothing huge. it's a pretty subtle thing but the important thing on my end is just making excuses to practice things but still somewhat expanding the world a bit and showing off some random personality stuff that comes to me

Works for me. I'm so visually oriented anyway, that I spend half the time I'm going through the game examining the graphics. BTW - all that trouble I mentioned trying to work through the tutorial? My fuck-up for sure. I never paid any attention and found out later that I'd downloaded DAZ... GAH! Further evidence that I was born blonde.
