Design Diary #031 - New and Old Content (Patreon)

Hello gamers

Last time I talked about a bit about the effect of the choices in the last couple of releases. This time I can go a bit more into what has been added and I will also go over a rerelease of an old feature.

First let's take a look at the possible outcomes for the main mission choices. There is a positive outcome for the first mission you select. This brings with it 3 positives. First there is a non-repeatable erotic scene that is unique to that outcome.  Then there is some additional information or lore. Lastly there is a long term unlock. This is very different between the 3 missions and is shared with the neutral outcome but might be delayed in that case. These will not show their full effect until later in some cases as well.

The neutral outcome was already mentioned. It does not have the bonus erotic scene but shares parts of the other two rewards from the Positive outcome. The last mission you select will have a negative outcome.  This hinders some content unlocks in different ways. Some of it will be delayed a lot as you have to find another way to get to that information or unlock in later releases.

That covers the mission rewards in the old content and brings us to a feature that will be added to the next release. This feature was a very small part of Hotel and slightly larger in Haven.  Now it is updated to Horizon with a much larger cast and amount of content. I am sure you will spy something you will like in the next release. :)
