I was satisfied with the ending. it made sense. the whole borderland experience was all fake, it was just everyone who was fighting to stay alive from the explosion. all those who "died" in borderland in reality just weren't able to fight through and died from the explosion in real life. i was more glad they didn't have them remembering each other. it would of be unreal and annoyed me if they did "remember" each other simply because the whole borderland thing was just in arusiu's head while he was unconscious. in real life, he has no idea who anyone was/ never meet (besides chota and karube obviously) but it made sense for them to be in his head during the whole borderland experience considering they we all there when the situation happened. i agree with saying they could stop the show this season and i wouldn't be mad.

I loved this season! I would definitely be happy to watch another season, but I’m also perfectly satisfied if there isn’t one! I agree with Mali’s comment above regarding what the joker card represents, and I also think it could represent just the fact that they now have to live life carrying everything that’s happened (and, if they ever regained memories of the borderland, perhaps questioning what’s reality and what’s not for the rest of their lives). On the other hand, I think it could work as a final game in a future season as well! If anyone else is familiar, it reminds me of the Haunting of Hill House red door(I think?) theory or alternate ending that the creator(?) considered (I can’t quite remember) that they never actually left the house!

The gaslighting in this finale was INSANE 😂 didn't know wtf to believe even until the last moment with the joker card. So many theories online if there's gonna be a season 3, and if they do decide to do it I wouldn't even be mad. I'm okay with this being the ending as well. So fun to rewatch with you guys!

I loved the ending. For Ann, I think it is because Kuina was SO determined to take Ann back with her and so willful that Ann not be left behind, that it saved her. I've always thought you'd really like the Kdrama The Guest. With Kim JaeWook, Kim DongWook and Jung EunChae. It's about exorcism and shamanism. Definitely a thriller. It'd be cool if you reacted to that.

Some people interpreted the joker card as either an entry into a possible season 3 or that the joker was kind of saying that surviving and making through life is the real game

as a suggestion for a new drama I have Weak Hero Class 1, I've heard a lot about it, and I just started watching it myself and I am so fascinated. I think it would be an interesting watch.

ugh i’m so sad alice is over but at the same time it was such a pleasure to rewatch it (and start it tbh) with you guys. about ann getting to live i would also think it’s because of kuina holding her hand and being like “let’s go back together”. lastly about all the queens and kings i loved them all so much i was almost sad that they had to die (especially kyuma), this show does such a good job at making you understand their own reasonings to whatever they do and almost falling in love with them. i’ll be tuning in for whatever show you guys choose next !!

My logic through the basis of the borderlands specifically is that everyone there had their heart stop and when they give the question of whether you want to return or not and you answer no then you can leave the borderland. This is why the people that died do not get to go back because they physically cannot answer. Now I think the game masters have to die when they lose is because they chose to keep citizenship so they cannot physically go back so they have die so they can’t answer the question of if they can go back or not. When you get sent back you’re in the state similar to how you were in the borderland hence why Niragi has burns, Aguni is basically comatose, Usagi has leg injuries, Heiya lost her leg. Because of this rule when Kuina held Anne’s hand that allowed Anne to comeback because Kuina is holding Anne. But because Anne is dead that’s why the doctors were struggling resuscitating her but eventually she survives and why she cried when she woke up.

i thought at first the Joker card was teasing for another game, like they are still in borderland. my husband thought of it like the hardest game (Joker) is actually your actual life.

I forgot Kuina was trans, which isn't a bad thing. I just wish we got to see her more or her own or at least her and Ann developing their friendship so that scene of Ann dying next to kuina would have hit harder

This whole episode was gaslight after gaslight and I love that they did it on purpose. So that when they gave us that Joker ending that it would hit just a liiittle bit harder. Throughout this whole episode you sit and wonder what's real and what's not. Who knows, maybe the joker is the "game of life". I'm on the same page as Blaire with the memory thing, that was my biggest drawback for satisfaction. I understand the meaning and process, but it makes all the relationships that were formed and character development feel like it was for nothing, and it was all just chalked up to a near death epiphany rather than actual character growth. The significance behind any character growth is gone. Even in a case like with Niragi. We're meant to hate him from day one and "be moved" by the fact that after everything he did and said, he still wanted to go back to the real world. When reality is that none of it was real. All the things that we as the audience hated him for, never really happened and so, do we even have a right to hate him in the end? Who knows, we don't have any idea what kind of life he lived up until that point. I think Ann getting to live was a good choice. If you die in borderlands then you die in real life, that makes sense. And your wounds or injuries in borderland will closely resemble those of which your body actually received. But I think because Ann died so close to the end of the game, that she still had that fighting chance for resuscitation. It was all in a minute, her heart was just stopped for a little longer than the others. And if we're going the supernatural route, it could make sense that because Kuina was holding onto her when she said she wanted to go back, that Ann went back with her. As for a new drama replacement, I think you'd both find The Glory to be a good watch. It's kind of infuriating but it reels you in. All 16 episodes are on Netflix!

Really hope you guys check out Weak Hero Class 1 it's so good. It stars Park Jihoon from W1. Jiwoong from 2521 and Shin Seungho who i know you wanted to check out in a drama since game caterers. The show has some insane level high iq choreography. It's also only 8 episodes and has a killer ost to it. Would also recommend The Glory but thats double the length so if you were to check out Weak Hero i'd probably do that one first.

If that is actually the end of Alice, then I’m definitely not satisfied with the ending… I feel like they’re so many unanswered questions, and I feel like the series could've gone so much deeper about the game and « who » is behind it because it’s definitely something. I’ve seen in the comments people recommend The glory, and I must say it’s definitely a much watch ! And so is Weak Hero Class 1. Both are these shows handle bullying in school in very much different way lol but they are one of my favorite drama of last year alongside little women.
