RAFFLATHONS vs Discord REQUESTS (Patreon)

Lately I've been having a lot of fun with rafflathons (RNJesus determines who gets an artwork), so I was considering the possibility of making more of those (2 per month) and ditching monthly requests, (where I pick my favorite thing to draw) or at least making those a less regular thing.

A big pro about this is that I'd be able to make more artworks, since I draw at least 3 pics per each Rafflathon, while with the requests I do 1-2 per month.

Downside is that fate determines who gets picked in the rafflathons.
Tho I feel like me being the one that picks an artwork in the requests, doesn't really give a lot more chances to people either way :D.

I know it's selfish, but Rafflathons also have the advantage that we can just submit ideas we personally would like to see drawn, instead of trying to guess what might be popular or likely to be picked. From what I've seen in the request channel, many patrons prefer OCs over fanart.

I'm like 99% sure I don't get Raffle entries, but they seem better than trying to guess what's popular. I always seem to pick unpopular girls anyway :-X

While I'd like to improve my own chances of winning by going with the Rafflethon, I worry that by taking your own choice out of your hands you may end up enjoying the art less than you might otherwise. For this reason, I have to choose the Requests instead. Having the agency to choose what you'd like to draw should mean that we'll get higher quality pieces on an ongoing basis, rather than potentially more images, but of a lower quality. Keep the love in the work. Vote Requests.
