The week I started posing. I picked this particular image of Michiru because its recognizable and makes for a reasonably good dynamic action pose. I happened to have a basketball I made for an old Lola Bunny model so I just did a quick texture pass on that and used it. Its worth either drawing your pose or drawing over an existing image to figure out all the angles. Posing without a rig is very tedious and difficult, it basically just requires a lot of masking and patience. I usually start with the angle of the hips just like I would if I was posing on a rigged model; movement starts at the core of the body. I fiddled with my lighting setup a bit more as well.

I'll do more poses than this one. Next week Michiru will probably be pretty much done so I'll need to decide on the next character to move on to.
