A small update this week.

1. I experimented with something I haven't done before, which is making a flow map. These can be used for multiple things in 3d, in this case I wanted to try getting  anisotropic highlights in her hair. I made this in krita since it has a tangent normal brush, you can see setting it to direction adjusts the color depending on the direction of your stroke. That controls the direction light shines across the surface.

2. I set up a render in Marmoset Toolbag. I usually use similar lighting setups, usually a key, some type of fill lights, a bright light directly behind the character to create a rim light, and a red or violet light that warms up the colors. I added a tiny amount of fog to give some atmospheric haze to the light and some depth of field which will probably just mostly blur her tail at the end.

3. This is how she looks rendered in a T-Pose. I will keep adjusting this and working with the flow map to try and make it better.
