"Do wealthy people need clothes? Pretty sure I read something about emperors not needing them."

Commentary

This is a very dorky comic. For anyone not sufficiently dorky, it references Pokémon in the second panel and Harry Potter in the third.

Heh, that's adorably silly. That, and I imagine many want to see what's behind the speech bubble in the last panel

Emtu

Alohomora!

Danny Beans

Klaatu barada nikto.

Now, did she say "LeviOsa" or "LevioSA"?

I believe the spell she is looking for is Alohomora

Adama

Last panel, Frantic Ashley is adorable.

Stephen Gilberg

Which is unusual among Potterverse spells, because it has no obvious cognate. Unless you're saying a Hawaiian hello to the contents of the previously locked container. And wanting more.

But Sarah's expression in the last panel is the real prize. *So* obviously enjoying the show she's completely forgotten about why it's necessary.

Thisguy

It also references 1001 Arabian Nights in the first panel. But the reference has been used so much (and it’s a classic) that it is not considered dorky?

egscomics

It's been appropriated by so much media that I didn't even know that could be considered the original instance of it. Or that it was in it, as I am unfamiliar with it.

Sunblaze

Clearly this works! :D At least it pacifies robots and summons skelletons and witches. Thats gonna be useful right?

IvyReed

In desperation to fit in, with her new friends she disappears her own clothes into the chest, and accidentally disappears the chest into... Diane's office or something.

Oni Aeon

Speaking of appropriation by various sources I was always a fan of the Popeye variation, "Open says me!"

A Red Mage Named Blue

They could at least tell her that she's trying the wrong spell. It should be Alohomora.
