The ultimate twist would be that there is no twist, but it's far more likely there's a trick to this.

OR IS THERE?!

Yeah, there probably is.

Well, if those pieces they need to put in the scale are of varying weights, it could be a bit of a mental challenge even without a twist.

Scales get unbalanced, and so does Nanase's bust.

Stephen Gilberg

Yeah, figuring out the gist of the task is one thing; carrying it out is another.

Dragon Writer Luc

The twist: the closer they are, the more balanced their transformations become. (As in, Sarah gets larger and has a harder time thinking while Nanase gets smaller and can think more clearly.)

I'm guessing the twist is they'll have to use Sarah as one of the weights.

Matt R

This Nanase is pretty cute

I was thinking the same thing. But given my usual luck with predicting how the comic goes, I look forward to seeing how wrong I am. :)

Likewise -- that also seemed a plausible twist to me after I read Varcel's comment above but before I read this one.

Are those Mario pipes in the background?? Wait, why am I noticing obscure background details, instead of hot bimbo Nanase??

Sarah sits on the left hand side of the scale and Nanase needs to place weights equivalent to Sarah's weight on the right.

The answer, my friend, is obvious: http://egscomics.com/comic/2007-11-16

Kachopper9

Holy crap that Bimbo Nanase is glorious

coredumperror

So if I'm interpreting you correctly, you think I'm... in love... with Mario pipes??

Let me guess, the twist is there is no twist. The challenge of the room is that the less intellectual of the group has to solve a puzzle by getting the other party member to do the actions for them, all while the other members are unable to solve the puzzle by themselves. Its basically a handicap, so that one party member can solve a more simple puzzle on their own.

I am quite enjoying how much of a roll Sarah is getting in this NP series, its much more dynamic than the solo adventurer who thinks out loud all the time.
