My first thought was zap it with her tongue. As a (recently) human the hands would be first instinct. As a gecko I would think tongue would be the next instinct. Do geckos use their tails in a prehensile way?

I don't believe they do, so you're right that the tongue should come next. Besides, it's faster and closer at the moment.

In fact it's probably a bad idea to try to use her tail, since gecko tails apparently break off easily. That would be a dark turn...
