I'll note that (1) this is noncanonical, so any truly inappropriate behavior can easily be retconned away; but also (2) I should hope that nobody's going to take any resulting attraction too far, as that makes the session, well, rapey.

As long as neither of them gets the other pregnant, the problems with inbreeding that led early humans to conclude it offended some sort of deities don't arise. They didn't grow up together so it's not weird that way. They don't live together so they wouldn't be putting a home environment at risk. Neither's in a position of authority over the other and there really isn't an age difference thing here. It seems to me that you shouldn't care whether they're related.

My theory as to who's texting Rhoda is that it's Liz. I'm guessing they're acquaintances because Rhoda gets her collars at the same place Liz gets her gothy clothes. :)

or it could also be ashley, mind you, this is not canon and people knowing/ being able to contact people they shouldn't or else it cause a conflict in the canon is not a problem here. (what I mean is that for instance maybe something could have been avoided if that person could have called that person.)

That center panel is super cute!

Not to mention that both of them being women means that the primary reason that we developed this taboo (the birth defects that result from incestuous procreation) is irrelevant.

Wait. Catalina's casual, uninterested "I bet she's cool" about Ashley is totally a setup, isn't it? She's in for such a lovely surprise.

I would expect that, with Susan's advice, Hanma made the attraction aspect something that would make players a bit uncomfortable looking at each other. Though if the people involved were already attracted to each other, the heightened attraction might push it over the edge.

I found this strip rather confusing at first. In panel one they're talking about Ashley and Diane, then in panel two are two individuals that are so transformed I'm not 100% sure who they are, then in panel three Rhoda says "they're probably related". My first thought was "Ashley and Diane are probably related? How do you figure that?"; only by ignoring the first panel was I able to figure out they're probably talking and fantasizing about Susan and Diane, and even then I had to compare it to the latest story comic to figure out which was which. (It doesn't help that Diane(?)'s hair reminded me of Nanase's old style in that shade.)

Literally heightened: their ears make them taller. :)
