If this leads to a completely rational not at all about petty revenge kiss between Ashley and Rhoda I'll be perfectly okay with that. :)

Do we see a crack in her core of goodness?

Key word: irrational.

Ashley had plenty of reason to want to express herself in that comic. This comic shows her in what looks like major denial of how she feels toward Catalina, so I think it makes sense she'd be a lot more restrained about that. And it looks to me like a feeling she doesn't like, which would give her even less reason to emote it. Besides, we've already seen that she doesn't get all open and emotive about everything. Remember this comic? <a href="http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=1752" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=1752</a> She's giving Tom a death glare, yeah, but it's clear she's able to hold things in when she wants. She's a well-written character, so she's going to act differently depending on the situation and what she feels. Nothing's being thrown away or locked away.

I see your point. However, *my* point was more about what you said with this: "This comic chucks that aspect of her, and locks it in a chest and throws that chest overboard." My point is that a character acting in a different way than you've come to expect does not remove aspects of that character. It just shows that they don't act the same way all the time. I apologize if I didn't make that clear enough. Just because Ashley's usually emotive doesn't mean she's always going to be, and as I said before, I think she has her reasons for not expressing her feelings about Catalina. We've seen that Ashley is a genuinely good person, so realizing that she has a grudge against Catalina could be something she doesn't like about herself (or maybe she doesn't want to be mean, or whatever other reasons) so she's trying to hide it. And as we saw in what I think is Ashley's first spoken line - <a href="http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=1727" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=1727</a> - she can be plenty subdued when she's trying to hide her feelings.

Then it seems we simply disagree about how Ashley expresses herself. No worries. :) Thanks for the discussion; hope you have a good night.

No irrational grudge, just the rational one

btw does Rhoda know that the kiss happened? X)

She does, Catalina explained it to her rationally instead of as a big production (talked out of the big production by several people), and she was like "I understand why you did it."
