Up to episode 7 most people think this show is some kind k-on ripoff (comedy, music club, same anime studio, couple of identical VA,etc. ). But with EP 7 the show shows a different side. (more dramatical and kind of a sader feeling) BTW you missunderstand the situation about the members quitting in previous year a little bit. The then first years (now second years) confronted the then 3. years about serious training for the competion. Aoi and the other than second years tried to mediate between the two sides (they obviously failed with that)
