Like you said this series is not series that gets you hyped with crazy action scenes or something like that. It is more about the characters. They really feel realistic and human. In the first episode you can see kumikos struggle continuing concert band or not. She joins Kitauji (a school with a "weaker" concert band (bronze medal; her sister mentioning kitauji as a weak school)), but she still likes concert band and wants to continue with it. Glad you liked it so far :)

Definitely! That also makes sense as to why Kumiko was surprised to see that the other girl went to that school as well even though she was so beat up about not making it to nationals. 'm excited to see what Kumiko says to her next episode
