Quest development update - Passthrough! New hair, improved hand tracking and texture importing! (Patreon)

Hey everyone,
Despite catching Covid pretty badly a couple of weeks ago I've made great progress with Quest update 0.8.
I started by updating the engine from 4.25 to 4.27. This means I can now enable Passthrough and Hand tracking 2.0!
Posing characters on real furniture and seeing your real body creates a feeling of immersion I haven't experienced before! Even though it's black and white the effect is extremely cool when combined with hand tracking. It'll be interesting to try colour passthrough on the Quest Pro once that's available!
Passthrough mode also has settings for controlling the cameras colour, brightness and contrast.
I've also managed to enable full physics on the hand tracking hands. This means characters no longer jump away suddenly when you touch them, it feels a lot more like the hand physics from the PC version and they respond a lot better to touch than before. You can easily insert your fingers in their mouth, pussy etc.
There's 6 new hairstyles ported over from the recent PC update, these are work in progress and I'm planning to add physics in the future. I've also added a shaved option.
You can now import any Daz Genesis 3/8 skins or makeup/tattoos. The Quest has limited GPU memory so I've decided to limit this to one texture slot per UV map. This means it's not quite as advanced as the PC version with specular, normal, roughness etc. but you can still completely change the look of the character with custom skins and decals!
I'm now working on finishing the texture import UI, plus there's a couple more features and a long list of bugs to complete before uploading the build some time early October! 👽
