    Update v0.9 change list:

    NEW: The head can now be moved, rotated and animated easily. This took a while as it required an upgrade to the IK system and a lot of adjustments to the physics but it was a much needed function! This really helps with posing characters and can be animated like the other IK points. It also works well in desktop mode.

    NEW: POV mode for VR and desktop. Press the POV button to teleport inside the body of any character and see through their eyes. Hold down right thumbstick to reposition/align yourself relative to their body in VR. You can use a Vive tracker strapped to your waist to control the hip movements! Hip tracking also works with a controller attached to your waist if you set it to toggle grab, so you can enjoy this feature even if you don't have trackers.  Press A or X to exit POV mode.

    NEW: All spawnable objects can now be animated. You can animate a toy thrusting or a paddle spanking for example. This opens up lots of new possibilities!

    NEW: Individual clear buttons for each IK point that erase their motion. Toys and other objects also have a clear motion button. This makes it a lot easier when animating a scene as a mistake no longer means erasing everything.

    NEW: All toy colours can now be adjusted and some toys also have adjustable opacity and glow effects.

    NEW: Vive trackers can be attached to any point on a character including the head for blowjobs or the feet for foot tracking.

    NEW: Up to three Vive trackers are now supported. Set them to Waist, Left Foot and Right Foot in "Manage Vive trackers" in Steam VR.

    NEW: Lock pose setting. This hides and locks all IK points in place so you can't accidentally grab one and mess up your scene.

    NEW: Settings to control the strength and damping of breast, bum and thigh jiggle.

    Hey everyone!

    For this update I focused on adding POV (point of view) mode and improving the existing animation and posing systems. The toy animation feature in particular is a lot of fun and opens up a lot more possibilities! 😏

    For the next few updates I'll continue to improve and finish the existing features until I'm happy with the way everything is working.

    Finalising these systems will allow me to move on to adding new content such as hair, clothing and environments in the future. I'm not adding these yet as it's important the character models and systems are finished first, and I still have some work to do there.

    Hey everyone, sorry about the lack of updates recently - a lot of new things are in the works and I've simply been too busy to show them off!

    As well as working on 0.9 I've also been testing out gameplay mechanics and level design concepts for the campaign and work has even started on the story and dialogue. This is in the early stages and won't be revealed until it's ready, but it's really exciting to make progress with the actual game.

    Main features of 0.9:

    • The head can now be moved, rotated and animated easily. This took some time as it required an upgrade to the IK system and endless tweaking of the physics but it was a much needed function! Rotating the head also works perfectly in desktop mode now.
    • The new head IK made it possible to create a POV mode.  Pressing the POV button will teleport you inside the body of the selected character and their head movements will now follow yours. In the video I'm using a Vive tracker attached to my waist for hip thrusting.
    • Hip tracking will also work with a controller attached to your waist if you set it to toggle grab, so you can enjoy this feature even if you don't have trackers. 
    • POV also works in desktop mode.
    • Up to three trackers are now supported and they can be attached to any point on a character including the head for blowjobs or the feet for foot tracking.
    • All toy colours can now be adjusted and some toys also have adjustable opacity and glow effects.
    • All spawnable objects can be animated, including lights and furniture. You can animate a toy or a paddle for example. This opens up lots of new possibilities!
    • You can now attach the long dildo and the penis dildo to the penetrator.
    • New lock pose setting. This hides and locks all IK points in place so you can't accidentally grab one and mess up your scene. Hands are also a lot easier to rotate now.

    More additions, improvements and bugfixes will be added this week and the builds will be uploaded as soon as I can.

    The Quest version will also get an update soon, I'm working on performance optimisation and will hopefully be able to enable multiple characters, male characters and other features from the PC. More on this soon!

    What's planned for 2021?

    For the next few PC updates I'll focus on getting the main sandbox systems finished and go back over everything that's already in the game to see what needs finishing, adding or improving. I'll also be experimenting to find the best way of adding a player body or dick plus some other fun features!

    I have a big list of patron submitted ideas which I'll also be looking at but once I'm happy with the character and scene creation systems I'll move onto the next stage!

    What's the next stage?

    So far Captain Hardcore is only a sandbox for creating scenes, but the long term goal is to create an actual game around this. The ship will be the central hub and you'll discover new toys, clothing, environments and scenes as you progress through the campaign and meet new characters. I'm beginning to prototype the AI and gameplay mechanics now and have lots of ideas to test out before deciding exactly what it will be, but I'm really excited about this part! More details and a roadmap will come once I have everything planned out.

    The main feature of this release is male characters!

    This was a ton of work, making sure the physics, animation and customisation systems all work perfectly was very difficult and has taken me the last couple of weeks to thoroughly test and bug fix. Now I've learned how male characters work it'll be possible to add Futa in a future release!

    There's some other cool features in this update like a skin wetness slider for oily/wet looking skin, a WIP mesh hair setting that will have more styles and physics added later, improved controls, jump and double jump, material based footstep sounds and more. Check out the change list below for the full details!

    Hey everyone!

    Over the past few weeks I've been busy adding male characters to the PC version. The mesh, materials, genitals and physics are almost complete and I have a list of other things to finish over the next week or two.     Hey everyone!

    I've been testing Captain Hardcore on the Quest 2 today, the increased power and screen resolution are truly awesome! After adjusting some things I managed to get it running at a solid 72fps - so the overall experience is much smoother than on Quest 1.

    I've just released an update (0.3.1) with these performance tweaks and Captain Hardcore will continue to support both Quest 1 and 2 in the future. If you're using Q1 and already installed version 0.3 you don't need to download this - the performance increase is only noticeable on the Q2.

    Quest 1 and 2 will always use the same .apk to install (there aren't two separate versions) but you'll be able to spawn more objects on the Quest 2 before the performance dips. I may eventually add some extra graphical settings for Q2 that take advantage of the extra power.

    For the next major Quest update (v0.4) I'll try and improve performance further, this should make it possible to enable multiple characters on the Quest 2. I might be able to do this on Q1 as well, but won't know if it's possible until I make further progress.

    PC players: To make sure everything was ready for the Quest 2 launch I focused on the standalone version more than usual over the last couple of weeks, but I've also been making great progress with male characters in the PC version! You can see some early images above!

    I've started with a generic male while I get the basics like animation, physics, genitals, materials, and corrective morphs working. It uses mostly the same systems as the female character, but there's still a lot of work needed to get everything functioning correctly. There will be a basic male character in 0.8, then I'll work on the appearance, clothing and customisation options in another update.

    Focus is 100% back on the PC version now so I'll update again as soon as I have more details!

    Hey everyone!

    I've been testing the Quest 2 today and the increased power and screen resolution are truly awesome! I've already tweaked some things and managed to increase performance to a solid 72fps, there's still a few stutters after launching but once it settles down it's very smooth!

    I'll continue to support both Quest 1 and 2 and this build will work on both headsets.

    For the next big update (v0.4) I'll try and fix the stutters and improve performance further, this should make it possible to enable multiple characters on the Quest 2. I might be able to do this on Q1 as well, but won't know until I make further progress.

    PC players: To make sure I was ready for the Quest 2 launch I've focused on the standalone version more than usual over the last couple of weeks, but I've also been making great progress with male characters in the PC version and will post an update on v0.8 soon

    2) If you haven't sideloaded before, please follow these steps to install Sidequest on your PC:  https://sidequestvr.com/#/setup-howto

    3) Once Sidequest is set up and connected to your Quest extract the apk from the zip you downloaded, then use the "Install Apk file from folder"  option, or just drag it into SideQuest. Check the current tasks in SideQuest and you will see it installing, it can take a couple of minutes.

    4) "CH_Quest" will then appear under "Unknown sources" in your library! You might need to close and re-open the library for it to appear.

    Hey guys, here's a quick preview of some of the features coming to Captain Hardcore Quest v0.3!

    Hand tracking required an engine upgrade to 4.25, and Android development has completely changed in the new version of Unreal which caused some issues but it was worth the effort!

    I've also pre-ordered a Quest 2 so I can test compatibility and performance, I'm excited to see what the XR2 can do!

    Some of the features I've been working on:

    • Body fluids
    • Character scale slider
    • Ponytail with physics
    • Camera drag can now be used with both hands and works in smooth locomotion mode.

    NEW: Motion capture animation timeline and playback controls. This controls all characters in the scene with one UI so you can play, pause, rewind and scrub through the entire scene animation easily.

    It's now easier to layer up animations, and the IK points will stay in sync with each other as they're all controlled by one timer instead of having their own individual timers.

    The first motion you record will determine the overall length of the loop, then you can rewind to the start and record another IK point or character and gradually layer things up.

    There's also buttons to increase or decease the duration of the loop or clear the whole thing.

    NEW: Mocap animation loops are now seamless. The start and end are automatically blended to create a smooth transition.

    The main feature of this update is the texture importer. Up until now the game has been using the default gen 8 textures but it's now possible to import any Gen 3 or 8 texture set. There's a huge amount of these available on the Daz website so it'll now be possible to create much more varied characters! I've also included several new built in textures, make up and tattoo presets with more to come in later versions.

    A lot of work went into the texture and decal system so unfortunately the new hair didn't quite make it into this build, but I will be focusing on that next as hair needs a lot more options. I'm also beginning to think about adding male characters in the months ahead, as well as improving and finishing existing game systems like the animation recording, posing and AI.

    Some of the new toys I talked about in my previous update are included in this release, the strap-on harness is great fun and there's new double ended and penis shaped dildos. Asstronauts get to test out the new anal beads and also get a bonus version of the penis dildo with added balls! The previously Asstronaut only long bendy dildo is now unlocked for Galactic Traders as well.

    Update v0.6 release notes:

    NEW: Import ANY Daz Genesis 3 or Genesis 8 textures, or your own custom textures!

    • Supports .jpg, .png and .bmp format.
    • Place them in the Texture Import folder and select them using the new in game file browser.
    • There are slots for diffuse, specular, roughness, normal, bump and decals. Use the decal slot to add custom makeup and tattoos!
    • Decal colour and alpha can be adjusted to customise makeup and tattoo appearance. When using a darker skin texture it's best to darken the decals slightly to help blend them with the skin.
    • To create your own makeup or tattoos use the Daz Gen 8 UV templates. Use an image editor like Photoshop to place the decal where you want on the template and save as a transparent PNG file. A couple of examples have been included.
    • When loading a character with imported textures the game will pause briefly as it converts the images to textures for use in the engine. A loading screen will be displayed for a few seconds. If any textures were missing or couldn't be loaded they will be highlighted in red.

    NEW: Improved skin shader built to work with any imported textures.

    NEW: 3 built in skin texture presets.

    NEW: 7 built in makeup presets.

    NEW: 9 built in tattoo presets.

You can fix it by restarting the game and loading less textures into a scene at once. 4GB+ GPU memory is recommended to make use of this feature.
    • While testing I noticed an issue with the new thrusting and BJ animations at the last minute - when the character is rotated the animations still play at the original rotation. This means rotating a character 90 degrees causes them to move their head or hip side to side instead of back and forth. I'll try and fix this in the next build.

    • While testing I noticed an issue with the new thrusting and BJ animations at the last minute - when the character is rotated the animations still play at the original rotation. This means rotating a character 90 degrees causes them to move their head or hip side to side instead of back and forth. I'll try and fix this in the next build.

    Hey everyone, the next build of Captain Hardcore will feature Custom texture import!  This will bring much deeper character customisation to the game.

    • Import ANY Daz genesis 3 or genesis 8 textures, or your own custom textures!
    • Supports .jpg, .png and .bmp format.
    • Place them in the Texture Import folder and select them using the new in game file browser.
    • There are slots for diffuse, specular, roughness, normal, bump and decals. Use the decal slot to add custom makeup and tattoos!
    • I'll also be adding multiple preset textures.
    • File paths for imported textures are saved with your character presets, as long as they are in your texture folder they will always load with the character.

    It took slightly longer to build this feature than I expected, but I'm polishing it off now and will complete as many other new features as I can for a release in the next week or two!

    Hey everyone!

    I've been working on a lot of new features for the next build of CH!

    Hair is something I've needed to work on for a while so I've created a new mesh hair option and will be adding as many new hairstyles as I can in the future. In these pics you can see the hair from the Quest version, there's a big performance increase over the simulated hair so it will also really help with frame rates.

    Speaking of performance, I've managed to reproduce and fix the stuttering issue that some Oculus users were experiencing due to a Steam VR update. A test build is available and you can message me for the download link!

    I've got a lot of new toys in development including:

    • Strap-on harness
    • Penis shaped dildo (can be attached to the harness)
    • Penis shaped dildo with balls (can be attached to the harness) 
    • Unicorn dildo-horn!  (can be attached to the harness) 
    • Double ended penis shaped dildo
    • Attachment which transforms the new dildos into a strapless strap-on.
    • Anal beads
    • Crop
    • Ball gag
    • Panel gag with dildo attachment

    Some of these new items will be in the next build. The dildos will be modular so they can either be used on their own, with the penetrator, attached to the harness or made into a strapless strap on! Colours and materials will also be adjustable, I will post images and videos of some of them in a separate post (Patreon don't allow adult content in public posts).

    I'm also working on the motion capture system and will be adding playback controls and animation saving in a future build. A set of preset thrusting animations are being worked on which will be very useful with the new strapon!

    I've created a cinematic camera mode for desktop users with adjustable focal distance, focal length and depth of field. This is really awesome for taking screenshots or just viewing the action and I'm hoping to create something similar for VR users as well.

    I've been working on Ponytail physics for the Quest and this (or a higher quality version) will also be in the PC version soon!

    Another small thing, the skinning issues with all the panties around the groin area have been fixed. There was a problem with most of them stretching and distorting in certain poses but now they look much better.

    There's a lot more features still in the experimental stage so it's a bit too early to say when this build will be released, but I will keep you all updated on the progress! Thank you all for the amazing support.
