The Team Recreate Themselves in Paralives (Patreon)

I’m excited to kick off a sequence of three Patreon posts on the topic of the Paralives team playing and testing the game in its current work-in-progress state! Here’s the schedule of these posts:

• 🧔 August 25th, 2023 (today’s post): Paramaker: Each member of the team recreated themself in the game.
• 🌱 September 1st, 2023: Live mode: The team tested needs, skills, wants, relationships and more. I’ll be showcasing in-game scenes from that.
• 🔨 September 8th, 2023: Build mode: Everyone was given the task to furnish and decorate 3 rooms. We will be highlighting some amazing ones!

The Team Recreate Themselves in Paralives

Everyone was given some time to recreate their body, face and one of their everyday outfits.

🎯 Our goals with this playtest were:

• 👩 Is it easy to recreate your body and face? It went pretty well on that front!
• 👕 Are there some hairstyles or clothing items missing? Some were still missing but in most cases, Léa and Sonia already had the missing elements planned before the game’s release.
• 🏆 Aside from that, the playtest was a great moment for the team to catch up on all the new content Léa and Sonia have created so far!

To start off, here’s my own recreation:

I’m pretty happy with the result. I was able to recreate a typical outfit I could wear. I could have spent more time working on the face and making it more resembling though.

One thing that was missing for me in the Paramaker was a hairstyle close to mine. The closest I found was this one but the hair loss is more advanced than me in real life! Sonia and Léa have many many more hairstyles planned for the game’s launch and they showed me one that will be pretty close to my hair so I’m looking forward to it!

Recreating Jérémie took about 25 minutes. This GIF shows a part of the process in fast forward.

Aside from creating ourselves, as a second exercise, we asked the team to recreate someone famous. Here’s 3 of those that were made:

I hope you liked this showcase of characters we’ve made during our playtest! These won’t end up in the game at launch but they were pretty fun to make. We can’t wait to see what everyone will be creating with the Paramaker when the game launches! For now, we will be adding a lot more hairstyles, clothing items and accessories to make sure that almost everyone can recreate themselves and their outfit 👕
