I'm sooo far behind my REAL work that Labour Day is going to be full of work for me today!

That didn't prevent from me getting a start on page 3 which is pretty much all roughed out and just in need for some cleaner pencils and shading.

I don't think I've ever done a girl/girl comic and although I'm a proponent of same-sex attraction, I just never felt like I had a story good enough.  I'm not sure why but I felt it had to have a hint of beauty and romance behind it and not the dominatrix that some have suggested to me (although, if you want to do a FanWeek request, I'm happy to do it!)

Psycho-analyzing the strange comics I draw, my very strict mother has always made us believe that ANY relationship between a man and a women is inappropriate and men are generally filthy, perverted and disgusting whenever they are in contact with women (I feel sorry for my Dad now!).  Even when I have lunch with one of my cousins she makes odd comments as how it is "inappropriate" and I should never do that again.  Anyways... so my comics and stories come out really kind of strange.  All sex is dirty and on the cusp of assault.  Women only have sex when they're forced by perverted men.  Of course I DO NOT believe her but some of these things are so deeply ingrained from when I was little it is difficult to disjoin it from the sexual reptilian side of my brain.

On the note of same sex... I know that guys have friendship bonds that are so close that they are almost like family and girls have the same however for some reason (er... twisted Western Culture) close female friends can have sexual encounters with each other which is forbidden for men.  Before you guys have dirty thoughts... NO, it does not happen as frequently as you imagine (...or you would like LOL).

I say "Western Cultures" because in other cultures, its not as taboo for good male friends to sexually enjoy each other or express their close bond sexually.  I remember hearing a story of US soldier training Afganis and after four days in the bush, they invited him to have sex with them.  He was disgusted and abruptly told them that he was not "gay".  They took offence to that and said that they were not gay either.  Looping back to my strange upbringing, I can understand that as it is deeply ingrained in us since childhood that anything sexual between men is the most vile and disgusting thing ever!  Even to the point that men are forbidden to hold hands or sit on each other's lap (which is common EVERYWHERE except for British puritanical colonies).

Anyways... even in the machismo country like Mexico, I was so surprised how physically affectionate men were with each other.  Something that is solely seen between women up here in the "enlightened" north of the southern border.

...or maybe I'm just trying to justify myself.  Lol.
