Sorry it took so long for this page to get up!  I was shooting for a page every 3-4 days but a very special Uncle in my extended family passed away last Friday.

So as the story goes, my family in Korea was very rich.  Well... 1930's Korea rich which meant they owned a house and property.  Then the Korean War hit and everything they owned was bombed to the ground and like everyone else, was destitute.  The oldest son tried to recover the fortune and only got the family into more debt.

My Uncle graduated from University and his school mate told him of this new thing coming along called "Plastic Cards".  Totally unheard of in the 50's and he became one of the sole producers of it.  He was so far ahead of everyone else in this field he was showing off a new thing he came up with to me in the 80's.  A chip inside of a credit card!

He was the patriarch of our extended family making sure everyone went to college and university and was able to create their own way in the world.

Anyways...

The whole point of this comic style is to see if I can give you more story in a month so I'll try again with page 3 this week... oh shit... House guests coming over from tues-Fri... okay... damnit.

As one with a lot of time in Korea with many friends, I admire the national spirit and resolve. Your uncle was a man to be respected and remembered.

People say that Koreans are the toughest, hardiest and most stubborn people in the world. Koreans say the Vietnamese are. Lol.
