Trying something new with the comics (Patreon)

I'm going to try and draw this comic in this style.

As my comic book readers, how distracting is this style or do you think it is an improvement?  Like I mentioned before, I'm not very good at inking, colouring and shading so I'm getting the feeling that all of that extra work doing something that is frustrating is actually taking away from the quality of the comic.
