For the first time ever, my sister Roseae (aka YOUR AUNTIE PILBUG #2 and aka LIL EGGIE!!!) and I discuss our thoughts after Episode 10 of I-Land! This is our FIRST time discussing with JUST the two of us for an I-Land aftershow video! HOW EXCITING!!! :D

TOPIC DISCUSSION: We will go into FULL detail about this entire episode- ranging topics from SEVENTEEN's appearance & mentorship, the Pretty U vs. HIT mini-challenge, Jay's memorable plot twist, the global fan videos & letters, K's new leadership mentality, the global ranking list & our opinions on each member's strengths vs. weaknesses, the 11th place elimination, global voting, and thoughts on the new stages for Chamber 5 vs. Flame On! 

*PLEASE READ:* I don't know why her volume is sooo low compared to mine TT_TT... I keep running into audio issues, AND AGAIN, so sorry for that. :( I think since I was using an actual audio mic and Roseae wasn't, the sound was super unbalanced. :((( We hopped on this long-distant call doing the best we could so please bear with us as the audio may be a bit frustrating to listen to :*(((!!!

FYI: We weren't able to react to an 'I-LAND [Behind]' as a bonus clip in this discussion due to our current tech/collab setup. But I will definitely continue reacting to the [Behind] clips in future videos as long as it works out! Watching the behind clips are my FAVORITE so of course, I will continue to watch these with you!!!

I really hate the global voting because it’s so unpredictable and so I think it shouldn’t be the WHOLE outcome of a round. In my opinion, the producers know what they are looking for and are well versed in this. Not to say fans shouldn’t have a say, as we are the ones supporting the boys, but I don’t agree in us having the entire say. Like Jungwon, he definitely deserves to debut and has always been in my top 7. A lot of people also just assume that people like Heeseung will automatically make it because he has a pretty large fan base and is a “fav” of the producers, but that’s what leads to him not making the cut. I’m curious to see how the 10 will become 7 if there are only two rounds left...? At this point, it is super hard to start dwindling down the numbers and thinking of a final debut group. I’m so anxious! I also would really like to hear more live vocals as this show has not focused on that much in part 2. The stages have been so heavily backtracked 😭 ALSO PRAYING FOR TXT X HEESEUNG REUNION.

I agree with the sentiment that the production is really trying to manipulate who gets in and who get kicked out. I really think that's what happened to Geonu. He had a good voice, but less screen time can lead to more chances of getting kicked out. That's why I worry for Jungwon, Hanbin, and Niki. With less screen time, how can they build a strong fan base? How can viewers learn more about them to relate to them on a deeper level? Using Hanbin as an example, we only feel for Hanbin because we know that he's a good dancer from his street videos and know he's a good singer because the other boys' have mentioned it. But the show itself does NOTHING to highlight him. And I never got many moments with Jungwon to feel connected to him, even though I've seen him perform amazingly. The editing in this show is very frustrating! Gah! Lol maybe I'm looking too deeply into it. I was sad whenever people got eliminated before, but I think I'll break down now because I think what we have now is a pretty strong team. I think that if they just made a team of whoever is now there now, it'd be a good team because they may have their strengths and weaknesses individually, but as a team they'd make up for each other's weakness. That's what I see anyways lol. The last episode, I think it was clear, but sad, that Taki was going. With this next episode I'm not sure who will go. It's so up in the air now. If I had to guess, HAD to, it's going to be between Niki, Daniel, and Hanbin. I'd put Jungwon in, but I think producers like him. The reason I chose these three is because I don't think the production likes them. I hope they don't go, but the show seems to not like them. But if global voting has a say, who knows what will happen. Again, I can only hope that everyone who's been eliminated so far and will be eliminated will have great futures because if they're all talented and with enough drive, they'll make it. Oh, and I'd love to see a part where they play with musical instruments just to see Jake play the violin hahaha. I'm sure that they can find a violin in Seoul somewhere lol. Fudge. Sorry for the long comment. Love the video you guys! Keep it up <3

I totally agree with your point about younger ones, and the prime example is Jungwon — he is also young, but he’s so amazing we don’t even mention his age that much. This will only get harder, to see applicants go. It’s already hard, I can’t imagine to part with any of them. But as you said, they are gong to be a k-pop group. A global k-pop group in the fourth generation, where competition is insane — TXT, Ateez, Treasure, Stray kids and other groups. And ilanders don't have two or even one year to polish their skills after the group is created, they are scheduled to debut in November, only in two months from the end of the show! They have to be PERFECTLY ready to debut right away. And I want them to succeed, want to see them on awards shows, therefore I understand that we have to be more than a little cutthroat here. If one of my biases won't make the cut, I'll try to accept it gracefully

Everyone's talented. I mean they all deserved to debut but I was hoping that the third stage will be more like of a collaborative single group and not divided into two units. I just want them all to perform as a single group so global voters can see and observe who among them really suits each other. Every time they are divided into units, they gave great performances but the main goal of the show is to create a global group and I want to see them perform as a group and not as units anymore. I want to see if they really clicked as a group. I want to see their chemistry. I want to see who really suits to be on the final group because having these unit performances doesn't really highlight how each member complements each other. This should be taken notice since we are anticipating a group and if the group turns out to be mediocre despite their great talents, then they might experience a hard time entering the industry. People might say that they might perform as a group on the final test but it will be late since at that time, global votings are already closed. I'm excited for the third test on Friday but I'm also frustrated. I have trainees who I'm sure that needs to be in the group but there are some that I need I'm not sure of so basically, them performing as one group will help. Anyways, please vote for Jungwon and Jay everyone

My only consolation right now is that the producers will have the power to choose the seventh member of the debut group so If global voters will drop Jungwon, the producers might pick Jungwon. I mean the producers love Jungwon. See Bang PD's reaction everytime Jungwon's on top?

It's a huge dilemma that as the show rushes towards the end, less people stay in I-Land whereas you gravitate towards more people since they show more diverse sides of them. Now I really don't want any of the remaining ones to go home. Especially Daniel, as a Daniel bias, cause I see so much potential in him and I know he can pull that out on stage just like he did during the signal song and Save Me, but it breaks my heart seeing him struggling to do so. And it's so frustrating since I know I want him in the group. Other people I definitely need him in debut group are Sunoo: he's my number 1 no matter what, Heeseung: like Hello, it's Heeseung what else should I say, and Jungwon: from the moment I saw his eyes on Flicker I knew I need him. And I'm so excited to see the Dream of Dreams stage, it's Flicker team but with Sunoo. That's what I call "the Dream team".

I have a bit of an idea what producers are planning, according to screentime and the image as a whole. I think they want Heeseung, Sunoo, Sunghoon, Jungwon, Jay, K and Jake as the final lineup, and it is more possible for them to save any of those as a producer’s pick, if they won’t be in the top six of global voting. But the fact that Hanbin is popular brings the element of surprise and so nothing is set in stone.

Yup, exactly. @mnetiland First, I wasn't sure if I should write each of them and then I forgot (and had other things to do). But I'm sure other Eggies expressed it all perfectly and did it in the name of all of us. 😊 As long as the boys were happy. One of the best things the show could've done for them, really.

Thank you so much for your fantastic discussion! I'm so happy that you used my suggestion to talk about their strengths and weaknesses! It is so interesting to hear other people's views on each member and what has stood out to you. And I also agree with all your feelings on the voting structure! For the final debut group decision I had a thought: I think it would be good if the global fans could use their votes to guarantee 1 person a spot and the producers fill out the rest of the debut group. It probably wouldn't be any different from if the producers picked all 7 members from the remaining i-landers, but I think it's the only way to incorporate global voting in the final pick.

NEW QUESTION! How do you feel about having a new BigHit maknae????? From the members applicants remaining, the youngest are Daniel, Niki, then Sunoo. One of them is going to be the BigHit Baby!!!!!

I agree with you girls, so my tops are Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Jungwon. I always vote for Sunghoon cuz he is my number 1 but I exchange my votes between Sunoo and Jungwon. But now that I know Sunoo is safe with global votes I am voting for Sunghoon and Jungwon. It also broke my heart when he didn't get a badge cuz he deserves to be in the top 7. I am worried that people aren’t voting for Jungwon cuz they think he is safe since he is talented, but voting counts so much now that we are getting close to the final. Although , I have a feeling the produce won’t eliminate him I am worried about the global voting for him. So here are the applicants I want to debut: 1. Sunghoon 2. Sunoo 3. Jungwon 4. Heeseung 5. Jay 6. K 7. Daniel/Niki ( I love Daniel’s voices ever since I heard him sing in the SAVE ME performance, but I do agree with what you girls said I do think he is too into his head and that may be why he isn’t performing as well as the other ones. But I do see potential in him which is why I want him in my debut group. Then the reason why I have Niki in seven too is because just like Daniel I love Niki. In the beginning of the show I was also one of the people who didn’t agree with certain actions he did, but as the show went on I did come to love him. From the beginning I saw how much of an amazing dancer he was and the potential he has. So I am torn between these two, I think I need a WOW moment from either of these two in order for me to decide who I want more in my debut group.) I can’t wait to see what more they have to offer us, but I am scared more and more each elimination round because I don’t want to see my faves drop. And like you said every elimination is getting more hard and my tears just keep flowing out as each episode comes out. Last episode I cried like a baby.
