Hey folks,

I've got a new project cooking and I wanted to share a special preview with all of you.

I've been a fan of the "Instant Loss" genre for a while -- specifically the brief, super-abrupt two-page "Before and After"  comics. As readers will know, my stories tend to be longer-form, really delving into the moment-to-moment submission and degradation of the female characters. But I appreciate the tension and pacing of the "Instant Loss" -- so much so that I've inserted little nods in some of my recent comics, like Mandrill vs. Powerpuff Girls.

Another thing that appeals to me about this genre of comics -- they're short. In Japanese, in fact, they're known as "2-koma," or "two panel" strips. This allows me to spend more time on coloring, background, and effects, delivering a higher standard than I can maintain for any 75-page comic. They're essentially just double-page pin-ups.

So I had the idea to do a sort of anthology series in the "Instant Loss 2koma" genre. No overarching story, no logical sense to any of it. This will just be a celebration of the art form -- and an opportunity to play with characters I've never drawn before.

As you can see above, the first installment features Street Fighter's Chun-Li squaring off against fan-favorite arch-villain Mandrill. Future installments won't necessarily feature Mandrill -- I just thought he'd be a fun one to start with.

Enjoy this exclusive preview of the first Instant Loss, and look for more coming later this month!

cool, maybe it'll be a good way to test out new characters. Like characters from The Witcher, God of War, etc.
