AUG. 2022 REWARD (Lineart) (Patreon)

Apologies for how late this piece was! There have been a number of new developments IRL on my end, both for good and for ill, and as such I had little time to do any art at all and may have to scale back my progress with it as well. This is especially bad because in the wake of having to pay off some debts for a friend with prepaid commission money, I owe some people a whole bunch of commissions that I don't want to back out of! Worry not, though - I've been keeping records of which people I owe art to and what illustrations they want me to produce, and I promise I'll get to each and every one of the pics already paid off as soon as I'm able.

In the meantime, here's the lineart for last month's reward, starring Lio Fotia from Studio Trigger's Promare! I've actually wanted to draw Lio for a while because I found myself highly attracted to his look, and I actually borrowed Promare on rental DVD a few weeks back to prepare for this reward. This is a fantastic movie and I'd highly recommend it! I'm afraid I'll have to drop a spoiler here and now though and say that Lio, who was billed as the villain in the promotional material, is actually one of the most heroic characters in the movie aside from Galo Thymos, the movie's protagonist, and the two of them actually join forces to defeat the real villain. To this end, I decided to go with a scenario that takes place after the movie where Lio joins Burning Rescue and has to be trained as a pilot, which is how he ended up in the cockpit for a new mecha custom-built for him. I've wanted to try a "raised heel" tickle scenario for one of my Patreon rewards for a while and felt like Lio would be a good fit for that, so it's about time you guys got around to wanting to see him, too!
