"Cooling Shinra's Heels"

This piece actually got finished last week, so it's actually been scheduled in advance to be uploaded today. I didn't think I'd actually be able to finish a reward this quickly especially given how hectic my IRL schedule has been, but here we are! It helped that I picked a relatively simple context, along with the typical flat-cel anime shading style which made things even simpler. I spiced it up a little with the water shading effects which I'm definitely proud of, and such a sterile-looking background - though typical for a research lab - may actually be a good thing because it helps put Shinra and his tickly torment up front and center. I'm definitely encouraged by this to check out Fire Force in general now, although I'm still struggling to find the manga online and watching the anime is definitely a tall order for me due to so many IRL concerns on my plate. Though that's probably how it is with a lot of the media works I've learned about in general lol.

As an aside, the voice Shinra has in the English dub of the anime is... interesting. It really has to be heard to be believed, but in hindsight I think it's actually pretty appropriate for someone whose outward appearance is not the same as what he is on the inside. It's like if you gave Sasuke the voice of, say, Hiccup from How To Train Your Dragon... which is actually quite apt, all things considered. XD
