The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 01/Oct/2021 (Patreon)

October is here! Yay!! This quarter of the year is my absolute favourite time of year! :D

This week was a great one! I continued with the editing of Chapter 8 and then started writing Chapter 9. Was sooooo nice to get to a new chapter and really push forward. And I really was whizzing through it!

I was a bit worried that flip-flopping between editing and writing would be a bit much, but it seems to be working out surprisingly great. I tended to focus on editing on a morning, and then switch to writing in the afternoon and evening, which was a rhythm that really worked. Definitely might be something I look at doing more often instead of solely dedicating time to editing for long stretches.

Then it was social media days this week, so yesterday and today I spent working on asks for the month, and then getting down to the Patreon content (which is why today's update is late because I got totally sucked in by the Autumn/Halloween scenario specials and didn't notice the time! :D). So I'll be rolling the Unseen Scene into the bonus content so there are four monthly bonus contents instead of two this month!

As I said last week, these will all have the theme of the MC dressing like a vampire for Halloween and seeing how the LI's react at the stage of the romance for Book Three.

October 21st - 'It's Trick or Treat…' (Adam/Ava Halloween Special)

October 28th - 'Bloody Authenticity' (Mason/Morgan Halloween Special)

I really hope you'll enjoy them! I had such intense fun writing these and have been planning them for agggges :D

Also, don't worry if you're wondering where the Unseen Scene and Adam/Ava's bedroom plan is. Those will be next month—I haven't forgotten about them!

Next week will be pretty much the same as this week: editing Chapter 8 and working on Chapter 9. SpunkyCat will also begin editing this month, as she has been working on finishing up subtitles on the Youtube Q&As for a while!

"Right. I just…needed to clear my head before going to bed, you know?" I say, the lie spilling out of me as though prompted by the sudden staccato beating of my heart.

$!{n_his} smile stiffens as ${n_his} gaze darts down to my chest for a moment.

I lay my hand over my heart as though it might muffle the betraying sound of it. "Is everything all right?"
