Click here for Private Test Build

Okay, so this private test build presents 8 of the same room layout as one of the rooms from the Alpha Demo. However, each room presents a different type of puzzle that revolves around pushing boxes onto switches to access the next room. Feedback will tell me if any of these rooms or the style they present are worth presenting in the full game.

ware can I report bugs?

kind of long explanation and would benefit from a screen shot but here goes

MrWrapture

You could also present the feedback on my discord in the Support Channels or Private Message me on Patreon

bug 1 : room 6 pressure plate in room 6 that raises and lowers the stone slab occasionally double triggers when stepping on or off. The tone slab is down by default when entering the room. the intended function of the pressure plate appears to be that the stone is raised when weight is placed on the plate and lowered again when the weight is removed. occasionally, the plate triggers twice while stepping on or off it, resulting in the default position of the stone slab changing from always down to always up

MrWrapture

That is kind of the trick to solve the puzzle, to trick the system to get the slab to be Up by default instead of Down

bug 2 : room 6 (this is the one that kind of needs a screen shot) To solve the puzzle in room 6, the PC needs to have a box placed on the pressure plate that raises the stone slab. They then need to push the box to the left so that the PC lands on the pressure plate. The stone will remain raised, stopping the box on top of the left most pressure plate (the one that operates the door) If the PC pushes the box, lands on the plate, then immediately gets off it, and the double trigger bug I mentioned above happens, its possible for the box to clip through stone slab. At this point pressure plate that raises and lowers the stone stops working and the slab will be locked in the up position. The box can not be pushed and is trapped inside the stone slab. The puzzle is unsolvable at this point

In light of bug 2, might I suggest adding a puzzle reset button, at least in the Test build. Will make testing a lot easier

Al

I think the intention for the stone slabs is to change position only when the button is pressed. nothing should happen if the button is released.

In room 7 one of the boxes clipped into the stone slabs and couldn't be removed. I'll try and get a screenshot. But, I don't know if I can replicate it.

MrWrapture

No screenshots are needed, got the report before and early developments of the test build present said problem. Thought I fixed it, but shows that it can still happen, so I need to look into it more or even or not bother with stone slabs for the full game.

So maybe the boxes could deteriorate after prolonged interaction. And or perhaps they're filled with random items or traps, when they break. And possibly use one of the boxes to set into a missing floor piece to reach with the nose. BTW I just got the notification from iO of this build a few minutes ago. Never on time or the moment you post something. It might be the case for every user of iO tho.

Was able to "Solve" room 6 without the crate on the final pressure plate by double triggering it. Not sure if intended or not but felt dirty

MrWrapture

Yeah the fact the button is still pressed is clearly some bug, something I'll defiantly look into in the coming days.
