And no, not the terrible new Star Trek. But Mike and Rich talking TNG! That's right, yesterday we shot our next top 5 episodes on re:view. Rich and Mike talked almost non-stop for 3 hours and 19 minutes. Now the editing begins! Stay tuned!

Really hope you keep doing these for tos, voyager and ds9. Throw in an enterprise retrospective and reviews for the tos movies while you're at it. I don't even watch star trek but those have been some of my favorite videos from you guys :)

Did you start at season one? If not, where and how did you start? I'm always curious about people's experiences when they start watching TNG today. The sets are obviously outdated (though not to the point where suspension of disbelief is impossible, like TOS), and season one is almost entirely stinkers. It just interests me. I always recommend people start with an episode like "Darmok," as it contains no spoilers and is a good example of TNG at its best.

Rather than a "top episodes" list, a dissection of DS9 would be great. It's very different from TNG, in that many of the episodes after season three are part of a larger narrative.

LOL, nice handle. Dukat certainly sees it that way. He's one of the most fascinating characters in the Star Trek universe. A tyrant who believes everything he's ever done was right, but occasionally suffers from moments of clarity where he actually realizes what a monster he is, only for his brain to immediately drown out that clarity with self-righteousness because he can't accept who he is and what he's become.

I agree, Star Trek Lower Decks is much more Star Trek than Discovery or Picard. Even if you don't plan to review it, you should definitely check it out.

Any chance you can do some of the other series (that were actually good). The love for TOS is certainly there, and both Voyager and DS9 have strong episodes and show (relatively) much better ways to handling taking things more cynical compared to New Trek.

Yay! As we’re listing episodes we are hoping for, I’d love for them to mention The Survivors. One of my personal, but overlooked favs. The look of horror Picard’s face at the end when he gets the full story always stuck with me. It’d be a good comparison point to make against other/ newer media and really identifies the ideals of the show. At least, in my opinion...
