Feeling a little better (Patreon)

Hey everyone,

I have not felt this sick in a long time. Done a few covid tests but I have no idea what it is. Trying to juggle being sick, dayjob and this project has been very draining.

I created a bunch of documentation for the writer and have passed that along with the new tool. We are starting work using the new tool. Not sure what the first like test character will be but we are working that out.

I started to but together the "brain" for the test character and look at existing like sequences and events and that's where I remembered I'm using a whole different system for certain sequences.
Which was pretty stupid given I wrote both systems.

I totally forgot certain events use a completely different system designed to be easy for writers to interact with (although not as easy as I need unfortunately). This wasn't a big deal but I did feel very stupid when I went to grab a bunch of existing events to upgrade them.

So some sequences are like a graph of linked events. Some sequences I was reminded are actually like a list of commands one after the other in text form. Thankfully I can now also access the template text using this command system.

I wanted to do this so I can edit and copy existing events and just update them with new template links rather than having to re write the same events in new ways.

What to work on next. So I'll be working with the writer to create a new character but this won't be a quick process. Aside from fixing bugs I think I might look at adding some more outfits and items into the game.

With a little bit of down time this counts at least as some basic content I could add while working on other things so the game continues to move forwards with new content while I wait for outside content.

That's all for now. My big priorities are going to be building up this basic template character and starting work on some new outfits and items for the game. If you have any suggestions I'm always keen to hear them. I can't promise I can add anything but at least it would give me some fun direction to start in!
