The subs would've been better off not trying to overtranslate and just leaving "takoyaki" as takoyaki, instead of making it "octopus balls." It's a very popular dish in Japan, just google it.

Octopus balls/takoyaki are just balls of octopus meat on a stick. They pop up in anime constantly. (they were eating those things constantly in Samurai Champloo, for example)

I think it was suppose to be a joke because the president wanted to hang out with kaguya so a "girl" for summer break. And because instead of that and remembers "the boys" its like saying "two dudes on a date" which made the joke of "I'll feed you octopus balls" 😂 you know how this show is, they made dog dick jokes before so 💀

Takoyaki very literally translates to "grilled octopus", so the ball innuendo isn't there in Japanese.
