His brother definitely didn't deserve that ring in the slightest, but it shows how good of a person gugu is. He doesn't think there's any hope for himself but he has still hope for his brother to become a good person and live a good life. It makes you angry, sad and warms your heart kind of at the same time.

The reason why I think you guys work perfectly as a trio is because : Lupa is an interesting reactor to watch because he's so sincere in his reactions. He's the comical element of the group, most of the time it's like he's having a hard time staying focused on whatever's going on because he's so eager to make a joke every minute. But when the feels hit him, it hits harder than the others. Roshi on the other hand is like the opposite of Lupa. He's generally less inclined to react emotionally to scenes and you can see he makes it a point to miss as little narrative elements as possible. They're almost like Yin and Yang in this aspect, and then you have Sheera who is like a combination of them both. She notices the smallest things, predicts most plot-twists in advance and makes dirty butt jokes at every occasion she gets.
