this fkn anime man. If you wanted to be depressed beyond belief there are other options, like idk just living a normal life in 2023. lol jokes aside though, this is a great show.

Not finished the reaction yet, but Im glad you catch on so quick that the opening scene wasn't a game! Most reactors don't catch on at all. In most cases, you can watch the anime without ever playing the game - but the one thing they mess up is not explaining what a "BD" is. Stands for 'Brain Dance' and is basically a recording of someone's memories. So more like reliving a memory that isn't yours, than a game; but you can feel what they physically felt, etc (though usually pain is reduced, so you're not in agony lol) It's been a while since I played the game, so I can't remember if BDs only come from dead people, or if you can get them from someone still living.

"After a night of streaming illegal braindance, David wakes up to reality: a rundown apartment with a broken washing machine and an overworked mother." It's different for every episode, so maybe don't read it at the beginning of the episode, or just avoid it completely

I'm glad you hate blue hair guy as much as you should. The 'choom' part is just slang. That guy at the end he just calls Doc. I think you caught the other bit of major slang 'gonk'. The show uses made up future slang like that a lot.

I’m so late but here we go Cyberpunk I didn’t get the cop shooting scene at first. But now with other people commenting it makes more sense. It's a memory from the guy that shot the cop relieved. It’s kind of sick. I guess with dystopian society you have to be desensitised. I guess he lives in a pretty bad neighborhood so it’s indecent everywhere. It’s hard because the mom wants what's best for him but it’s not really what he wants. I'm torn. Because on one hand I want to agree fully with the mom that he should get an education and get out of the slum. But on the other hand it’s her dream and forcing her dream on his son doesn’t seem to work. But I don’t see he has much future if he doesn’t have an education. The world is pretty fuck up and uncaring.

After Episode The bully is just entitled since he has money and it’s his only power to pray on the poor. That's why he’s doing it. It’s a power trip for him to bully the weaker. It seem there isn’t many “upstanding” citizen around 😅 Everybody seem to be an asswhole in this society. And I’m pretty sure the upstanding citizens are asswhole too. 😁 About resale value of the tech. From the amount of shootings there have been, it seems that there are many people that don’t care much about the law and would buy some illegal stuff. But yea Choms has to take all the risk and make a profit so there is that. Ok it’s a anime with a lot of potential. I’m not sure where we are going from here but nice addition to the rotation.
