It was stupid of Britannia to make Suzaku the executioner. Pushing him too hard will make him hate you and more likely to betray you. That's not a good test of loyalty. It has to come from his own volition, like the time when he insisted on going in to save Cornelia at Narita.

for the part where euphi mentioned that it shouldn't have been displayed in the first place, what she meant was, if you aren't going to let me choose it anyway, why even bother displaying it in the first place.

Ah okay. I thought she was being rude. Yeah she had a good point. And they said it’s pretty much for show. Yeah figures. 😒

Solid point. It really should've been anyone else but Suzaku to stop the Prime Minister. Too bad the adults were too incompetent and let a child do their job.

Well, as to me 10 year old Suzaku wouldn't even think about such things to begin with. He is too young to understand the situation. So it seems unrealistic to me.

Not necessarily. They are in a completely different world than us. It is a war-torn world practicing extreme Darwinism. Naturally a 10 year old son of the Prime Minister had to grow up quick.

What I really like/ respect about Todo is that he, even having Suzaku as his enemy, still understands that Suzaku simply does what he thinks is right and doesn't hate him or gets pissed. On Lelouch vs Suzaku: Now I REALLY need to see how he will react when he finds out Zero's true identity...guess he will be as torn about it as Lelouch, but maybe their final decision on how to deal with that will be very different... In the art-contest & knight choice the real hypocrisy of the Britannians comes to light as well: officially it's all about "survival of the fittest" and "competing so the best come out on top"...until it suddenly isn't anymore, like when the "top performer" doesn't fit into their superior-race-propaganda

guess they either a) do it on purpose to be able to say "see? we can't trust them when it gets serious!" when he finally reaches his breaking point or b) simply don't trust him and will test him again and again - and at that point if the execution wouldn't convince them, I can't imagine what it WOULD need, if it was even possible...

One thing I'd like to point out is while I agree Suzaku's ideals are a little unrealistic in that world, it's not like the Black Knights are in a better position. Even if Suzaku were to join hands with Zero, they are facing an empire with 1/3 of the world under them and they haven't even begun to show their true strength

This is late but something I think you missed about Mao was the Geass in BOTH of his eyes which is stronger than having it in one eye.

Small detail. Art week was a real thing established by Prince Clovis before he died. Shirley didn't forget that he'd died. Euphy choosing the painting was also part of Clovis's art week. Thanks for your reaction as always!

ya I agree currently in the series the black knights are not really winning because it is pretty much a small rebel group against a giant empire that controls half of the world

The thing you said about Suzaku at the start yes you did discuss it in the last episode but you were not clear. Suzaku killed his father to end the war while the way you phrased it would lead to believe that because Su killed his father the Britannians had free reign to slaughter them...
