Content

The focus of R3 will not be adding new content, but overhauling and improving what is currently there: Sounds, dungeon, battle system, adding a gallery, and so on.

Currently the bare bones are there, but it needs the extra details to make it feel less of a concept and more of a game.

R3 will be adding a few scenes to finally complete what is covered in the first episode, with one of those three routes taking you all the way to the sixth floor on a new main story quest.

While that is not much content-wise, I would like to make R3 feel different compared to the previous two releases, a fleshed out game covering the entirety of the first episode.
The true "first release" of the game, I guess.

Currently the overhauls I would like to do are:

  • Adding sounds to all the UI, and dialogue (Example: Ais cutting down the minotaur).
  • Final overhaul of the dungeon in order to improve its visuals.
  • Redo some of the sprites to make them look like their anime counterpart.
  • Implement as many of the suggestions made so far in order to shorten the list (Mostly ease of access features such as allowing esc key to close the UI, or editing player movement speed).
  • Add the missing features (Such as a gallery), and complete the current ones (Such as the battle system, by improving the UI and allowing more than one monster in a single battle + adding the missing monsters).

Each one of those things will be covered in their individual posts once they are done, and after that it will only be a matter of adding content, although some systems will still be missing because we did not quite reach that point yet (Magic - Requires you to get the first grimoire, Excelia quality - requires you to be level 2 or more, and so on).

Still, those systems should not take too much to add when the time comes, especially if I take care of overhauling the current things now rather than postponing.

While it is hard to predict how long it will take, I will try my best to make two releases this month.

Also, on an unrelated note, I watched "Arrow of Orion" yesterday and while I did not like the movie, I had an idea on how to introduce Artemis to the game!

It will happen at the end of what would be the first season, which coincides with a few confession events I had in mind, and when most of the characters are introduced as well.

That is when I thought that I might as well use the "first season" solely to introduce all these characters, then add the romance events and hentai scenes afterwards.

This is probably bad news for those who wanted hentai scenes ASAP, but after giving it much thought, I feel like this works best and gives me the chance to create some build up while players can learn more about the possible choices, a sort of "Common route" if you will.

That is all for now!
