With the new year here and some changes being made along with it for MA. I wanted to address this while the timing felt pretty good.

As many of you know by now, Artie is stepping down from the project and we're already in talks with a few that are interested in taking over as the programmer. They won't officially begin to show their work on MA until February, but I've had this question in my mind for a while now based on some comments received in the past months regarding the Android version of the game. <.<

It's hard to tell what exactly the issue can be or if it's linked back to partly a user error on their part mixed in, etc. Some people seem to have issues with getting the game to start up on their devices and possibly other problems we're unaware of.

The main thing to keep in mind with this, is that we're still developing things as we go along and that's more so with the intention of making sure the game is working for Windows/Mac ideally, while we do have plans to ideally have a optimized lite version of the game for mobile users closer to end of development, we're already limited with time and resources.

So! With this in mind, the poll is simply asking our awesome supporters out there if we should discontinue our Android versions of the game if they're not running right and causing more headache for some users or is there demand for us to continue releasing Android simple ports like we're doing now, but put a disclaimer warning to remind people that our mobile version could possibly not work for some users, specs, etc. (More or less it's in development with lower priority focus than Windows/Mac versions.)

Comments always welcomed too!

Uh oh, Mobil is the only way I have of playing this game...

No worries yet! ^^" I'm sure the current mobile versions of the game are working fine for some, just mainly looking to get some feedback and any concerns like this of course will help keep it going in it's current form at the very least.

In my opinion the problems might not be from either side but might actually be tied to the phone itself. Some android phones are compatible with games while others with the same is are incompatible for some reason or another

Like with a certain game I play Yu-Gi-Oh duel links is supposed to be compatible with all phones with Android ten or later but mine is considered compatible but the compatibility is actually very iffy since the game crashes quite often for no apparent reason.

Thank you for the detailed feedback, mentions! ^^ Someone who recently just joined the discord mentioned having a problem with running the game on Android 11 vs it working with Android 12, so maybe there's a sign there to possibly lay down a soft or hard spec requirements for the mean time as a heads up for anyone interested mainly in the mobile versions. (Of course later at the end of development we'd want to optimize the finished product so it's even better and possibly can run on lower specs too.)

I personally wouldn't have been here and most likely wouldn't have backed the project if it hadn't of been for the android version. I have a cheap 10 year old huawei phone running android 7.0 and I've never had any issues running the game. So I'm very surprised to hear that someone with a modern phone is having issues. I could understand if for time and workload issues it had to be discontinued. But I would be very unhappy to see it go.

Very happy to hear this! ^^ It's mentions like this that will help greatly, as it's not a major issue for us to continue doing a simple port for Android versions. Just checking broadly to see what might be causing issues for some out there, etc. What we might end up doing is adding a little disclaimer in areas like the Patreon post for new releases and over on our itch.io page. Letting people be aware of possibly running into some problems for Android versions during development, but still offer new releases on mobile as we're doing now. ^^

XD That'd be our next goal. :P I'll be discussing this with our new programmer here once they begin working in February with our team.

I honestly kinda preferred the mobile version. Never had any issue running it on S20+ in the secure folder.
