You are a suave smuggler in a space-opera galaxy. You have been jettisoned in an isolation pod in the far reaches of space, as punishment for stealing a heavily-guarded star map.

Not long after, your pod is reeled in by some members of the space-faring pirate ship, the Dreaded Ennui. The ship is run by various undead creatures, and their leader is none other than the gothic vampirate, Captain Nightshade.

Though you are frightened by what is going on, you decide to turn on the charm with the captain, who is so impressed that she offers to dock at a space-minigolf course and take you on a date.

The dreaded vampirate doesn’t seem very dreadful when you get on her good side, and she puts up a relatively happy front despite admitting to suffering from melancholy, only rarely letting the mask slip.

And so you enjoy some time together, and eventually make plans to join her crew and steal back the map…
