Now whereas the first prediction video for the 2023 Eurovision semis was fairly concise, this was an absolute disaster. Having gone back to edit this, I feel much more confident in saying that both Belgium and Cyprus will eventually make it in favour of either Iceland or Estonia (Not Georgia as Nova would choose) but as always, give us your thoughts. A casual viewer actually tends to remember past recent entries, so I can definitely see them looking at Poland and saying "oh, she's trying to do a Chanel" (same can be applied to Israel in SF1 as well tbh). And usually the entries which try to imitate previous ESC entries tend to flop hard. However, I still see Poland making it (Poland failed to be in televoting Top 10 only once, and that was with Rafal...) As a Lithuanian, I might be very biased, but I don't see us failing. We will get 20-24 points from Ukraine (allies) and the UK (diaspora), we might get 5-7 points from Denmark (diaspora) and Estonia each as well, and I can see us getting 1s and 2s from the other countries. 50-ish points are enough to qualify from a SF and I believe we will manage to collect that amount. I think Cyprus has more chances qualifying than Belgium. But yeah, SF2 is very hard to predict... My guesses would be: Australia, Slovenia, Austria, Armenia, Lithuania, Denmark, Estonia, Cyprus, Poland, Iceland NQ: San Marino, Romania, Greece, Belgium, Georgia, Albania I can see Georgia being a surprise NQ of SF2, because for me personally, it is the type of A song that ESC fandom really loves for being unique, extraordinary etc. but a general viewer won't get it. P.S. I will go to all the Jury shows so hopefully I will see you in Liverpool!

Lithuania will qualify in my opinion. They always have strong televote support from a number of countries voting in SF2 and could even get the U.K. 12

Not Lymp saying Belgium being dated when it's the same music Beyonce put out last year 😅

Australia? In a public only vote? Good luck

Will add predictions after seeing tomorrow (today’s) rehearsals. I think Lithuania and Greece in a televote semi are pretty much shoo-ins. You only need about 60 points to qualify... Greece, to me, has an easy path. Obvious 10/12 from Cyprus, a high vote from Albania is also typical. Romania, Georgia and Armenia tend to vote for Greece highly. Victor has Danish heritage so that’s a 7+ in a semi easy. The U.K. typically votes for Greece, as does Australia. At that point it’ll probably trigger San Marino’s ‘televote’ too and he’ll make it. For Lithuania there are some obvious friendly nations: again the U.K. but also Estonia. Georgia and Lithuania historically award each other, and Ukraine is voting in the semi too. It’s not the most jaw-dropping song, but it’s clean, well performed and very easy to remember the hook. Throw in Denmark and Iceland for that reason alone. Those types of ‘competent’ entries often hoover up 3-6s across the board, often enough to pass the threshold. I agree with Wantis that Georgia could be a ‘shock NQ’. Depending on staging it could be inaccessible (the song doesn’t have a huge amount of light and shade, pretty full on for 3 mins!).

Cyprus is a no brainer to qualify for me, fire level. Staging looks great and they have Greece AND Aus to vote for them (Andrew being an Australian)
