The Turn of the Screw is an 1898 horror novella that, akin to Dracula inspiring vampire fiction, would lay the groundwork for countless ghost stories involving creepy children in big old mansions. I've recording a reading of the original text here on Patreon if you'd like to hear a fireside rendition of the original source material. For now though, let's get into a casual discussion about it.

2022-12-29 22:48:15 I found it so satisfying that all four of the staff at bly manor: housekeeper, cook, au pair & gardener were all such likeable characters. I really enjoyed scenes that contained all four of them at the dinner table. One thing I didn’t understand was if the lady of the lake would continuously walk into the house and into the master bedroom every night since back in her time.. does that mean during the time that flora and miles’ parents were alive she would walk in every night and stare at them sleeping in that bed without them ever noticing? 😰 Also it was only after watching series 2 of ‘you’ that I realised penn badgely was the love interest in ‘Easy A’’! 😍 god what a man
